Absolute Vodka and Playing Cards Cake

Today is the birthday of one of my oldest friends in the world. One of those who went through those "teenage angst" days with me, laughed and cried with me, will down that huge glass of inhumane amount of alcohol when I'm on the verge of barfing for me, basically, just grew up with me friends. To mark this day, we came up with the idea of a cake that makes us, well, us...! So what do we do when we get together? Indian Poker!!!!!

So what exactly is Indian Poker? Well, its a game which aims to make people drunk fast. And when people are drunk, they act.... err..... differently. Period. ( I will get assassinated if I reveal too much.)

Anyhoo.......The bottle shape was easier than I thought, now I am  pretty confident that I can do a 3d one that is upright. I would have done it this time, if not for the fact that the cake had to be "flown" to Hong Kong, and I was afraid that it might topple before it even gets to her. Note to self: write words on the bottle first before attempting to paint it woman!!!!

The cake was chocolate brownie cake with dark choc ganache. I wanted to play it safe by using ganache as frosting, because apparently in HK, the weather is crazy hot. But just as the cake was sent off to HK, the typhoons hit, and its really cool now : /

HAPPY BARFDAY MY LOVE!!! HERE'S TO MANY MANY MANY MORE YEARS OF INDIAN POKER NIGHTS. XOXO!
