This was done for the nieces and nephews of one of my oldest/closest friends/girlies/lubbs. She wanted to get the kiddos something for the fun of it, and thought cupcakes with their favorite characters was a good idea.

Yesterday we sent out a Totoro themed cake for an intimate birthday celebration of a young lady who loves her big fuzzy friends. Her friend L, dropped me a mail a few weeks back and commissioned us to make her a cake.

So the last week has been a crazy one for us, and this was the reason why. We were commissioned by an MNC (very big thank you to my ex school mate (C, you know who you are) for the referral!) to make 800 cupcakes for them. They were looking for something fun and non-corporate looking to give out to their clients. Design was based on what was given by order-er.

S, who got a playable angry bird cake for her bf over the weekend got us to make a luggage cake for a girlie of hers who was going away to study in aussieland. She also requested for a pair of tatty teddies with a raincoat covering their heads just like the ones she has.
Yellow Bersih Cake
So today is the birthday of our good family friend's brother. They specially picked Yellow Bersih (a newly formed political group in Malaysia) as the theme/design since they are Malaysians.
Sculpted Barney Cake
So over the weekend, we delivered our first ever sculpted Barney cake to a little boy fan. His lovely mom dropped us a mail a few weeks back and commissioned us to make her son a special cake. : )
Playable Angry Birds Cake
Second playable Angry Birds cake for the week. This one's specially ordered by a sweet gf to her boy on his birthday. She was throwing him a surprise party and got me to make him a playable version, which i think, really makes it the icing on the cake! Again, excuse the low quality shots, it was a gloomy rainy day!

MacBook Flight Manual Cake
So over last weekend was the birthday of our good family friend, who is a big fan of all things Apple, and is a pilot. Therefore, for his cake, we decided to make a MacBook with a photo of their family sitting atop a "Flight Manual".
Heart Cake
Pardon the radio silence, for its been absolutely hell-ish around here these-days, what with the baby of the family's registration for P1, and a humongous cupcake order (800 of them), and having to juggle other cake orders, we had simply no time for anything else.
But i digress. Last week was my mother-in-law's birthday. We pondered on what cake to make for her, and the husband suggested doing a heart shaped cake that is lying on its side. very kitschy, but definitely a perfect cake for a lady with such a big big heart : )

I'm one of those who have a dark sense of humor and i tend to be drawn towards those ugly-ly cute things. Plants vs Zombies is one my favorite games, which slowly grew on my kids and their cousins too! So when J asked if i could make a PvZ themed cake for her son, both my kids and i were really excited. : )

Today we sent out a Green Lantern Cake to a pair of brothers who's favorite superhero of the moment is the Green Lantern. The boys requests were pretty simple; just a logo of their favorite super hero with the words "In the brightest day, in the darkest night).
