Beatles Drum Cake

This was done for an old friend of mine. She and her uber talented sister of 53A fame (you have to check out her vidz on YouTube, she has the most amazing voice!) were looking for an awesome cake for their popz birthday. They gave me a list of things their dad loves, from the iPad, to The Beatles, to Hawaii-O-Five. i knew i had to squeeze time out for a Beatles themed cake.  : )

K dropped us a mail some ime back and got us to make her little boy a Playable Angry Birds Cake.

Rice Bucket Cake

This was done for the boss of my girlie's husband. Their in the finance industry which means they deal with money  all day. To us chinese, an overflowing rice bucket signifies wealth (lots of it) and prosperity. and what better way to celebrate your boss's birthday with a rice bucket in cake!

This was done for the partner of an ex school mate who now runs a fantastic online reservation site for many popular restaurants in Singapore. Check out CHOPE website  for all your restaurant reservation needs! 

Weebls Dugong Cake

One of my favorite cake orderers celebrated her birthday last week, and her girlies dropped me an email asking if i could make her a really special Weebls Dugong cake. Never heard of Weebls animals? Neither had i! So i googled it and found this video, just so i get  acquainted with it before i make S's cake.

Wedding Cupcake Favors

These were done for my favorite repeat cake orderers. She was in charge of helping a relative source for wedding favors and thought that giving out pretty cupcakes in individually packed boxes would be an elegant way of saying thank you to the guests. 

1st Birthday Sculpted Bag Cake

This was done for my ex school teacher who previously got us to make these cupcakes for her daughter's birthday celebration at school. This time she wanted us to sculpt a baby bag out of cake as a gift to a friend who was holding a party to mark their baby's first month into the world!

Chicken Rice Cake

Sweet XT dropped us a mail sometime back and was looking for ideas on what cake to present to her boy for his birthday. She threw us with a couple of things  he likes and one of them was good ole Singaporean chicken rice, and that was how the idea of a plate of chicken rice shaped cake was born.

Sculpted Totoro Cake

One of my good repeat cake orderers, S, got me to make her sissy a Totoro themed cake. We at first settled on the usual round cake with Totoros as toppers, but, just as i was about to start on the cake, i realized that it was time for a change and suggested to S if we could do a sculpted Tototro cake. 

Building Cake

My first building cake. It is absolutely tedious because a lot of attention has to paid to the details and time consuming because of the repetitions. This is also a technical execution because the lines need to be very clean and even. Overall happy with the outcome.

An old friend was having a surprise  party for a close girlie's birthday and got us to make a playable angry birds cake for her! oh how i love surprise parties! The expression on the birthday celebrant's faces are always priceless!

An old friend was looking to bring along something for her boss's housewarming party, and she thought that a yummy chocolate crepe cake and some pretty cupcakes on a cupcake stand would make a perfect gift!

21st Birthday 2 tier Cake

Sweet Ying Ying dropped us a mail a few weeks back and sent us a picture she found off Pink Cake Box ( a superb cake shop located in New Jersey) and got us to make her a cake similar to that with some changes. 

Playable Angry Birds Cake

Coincidence is when 2 different people unknowingly orders 2 different cakes, for the same birthday person. J, dropped us a mail and got us to make playable angry birds cake for her pops who's a big fan of the game. and her dad happens to be the the recipient of the golf cake in the previous post. thing is, the golf cake was ordered by someone in the office who had no idea that J was getting a playable angry birds cake for the same day. 

i had no clue too, until i was making the cake and realized that the birthday celebrant's initials was the same with the exact same age too! 

good thing was that the cakes were for 2 different celebrations, else there would really be way too much cake in a single sitting!

Golf Themed 3 tier Cake

NY got to know of us through her colleague who got this Tigger cake, and she was tasked to get  her big boss a special birthday cake for a big celebration in the office. Said big boss is an avid golfer, therefore the theme for this cake, and we made him a stacked cake with a golf course on it. 

Playable Angry Birds Cake

So last week was my little man's 6th birthday and we had a small celebration with the extended family.  Poor guy was looking forward to celebrating his last birthday at kindergarten, but his birthday was right smack in the middle of the school holiday week, plus their school had an extra week off so his birthday would have been too faraway to celebrate before or after the 2 week break.

The husband and i were all fired up to make him a really special cake, and we were spewing all sorts of fancy cake ideas (a Bagugen toy shaped like a cake, a huge Ben10 omnimatrix on Ben10's wrist, a giant Plant vs Zombie's cake etc) and told him to take his pick. 

Guess what he picked?

A "Playable Angry Birds Cake, mom.", he said.  I went berserk, " But we make that all the time at home! You see it very week in our kitchen! why in the world would you want a playable angry birds cake???" 

"Because those cakes were not for me, they were for other people, and i never got a chance to play with it ."

That shut me up immediately, and a playable angry birds cake was it then.

Justin Bieber Cake

D dropped us a mail a few weeks back, all the way from Indonesia and told us his son was a huge fan of Justin Bieber (and the "bay-beh bay-beh bay-beh ooooooo" song gets stuck in our heads for days!) and was looking for a cake in a JB theme. 

Croc Shoes Cake

M dropped us a mail sometime back and told us she was looking to celebrate her husband's birthday and her baby's 1st month together and she wanted get them a really special cake. 

their a family of croc shoes wearers, and therefore figured that a sculpted croc shoe cake would be awesome to mark the special occasion(s)! 

Playable Angry Birds Cake

This cake is special cos it was done for my 2 favorite nieces (i only have 2 btw ; P)! The 2 sister's birthdays were just a few days apart and their parents had a combined birthday celebration for the both of them. 

Teacher's Day Cupcakes

One of my best cake orderers got us to make 80 cupcakes for the teachers and staff at her son's school. we mixed 5 different designs with an array of cupcake flavors just for them! : )
