Pardon the short hiatus, I was caught up with some orders for the week, and i finally found some energy to blog about a cake i delivered last weekend. Anyways, a pretty mommy mailed me and enquired if i was up for making a cake for her GREEN power ranger crazed son, Mathew. So this was what i came up with.
please excuse the messy background. my kitchen looks like a typhoon swept through. so this time, i finally could put into cake a design i have been ACHING to try out. a figure that looks like its "ripping" out of cake. so to make it more effective in presenting this design, i saved pieces of cake scraps to put on the "ripped" fondant. i hope it worked.
on the sides of the cake, i tried my hand at cutting out buildings with a slight 3D effect. i hoped i pulled it off as well.

besides the main cake, Matthew's mom asked for 10 cupcakes on the side and i made some weapon toppers and power ranger masks in relief style to decorate them.
